Sioux Falls Gratia Wednesday Service "Open Roof"

On Wednesday, September 14, 2016, at 6:00 PM the message "Open Roof" was given by Minister Christine Lee at Gratia Community Church in Sioux Falls, SD.  This message was taken from Mark 2:1-12.

A paralyzed man was helpless and unable to get into the house where Jesus was preaching.  He would never have been healed, and more importantly he would never have been saved if not for the great persistence of his four friends.  They carried him to the roof, tore a hole in it and lowered him into Jesus presence.  This so impressed Jesus that He forgave his sins.

Christine talked about the great persistence of the four men as an example of how the believers today should be when trying to win people to Christ.  All people are as spiritually helpless to save themselves as this man was helpless to move his body.  The man is bound by sin and in pain in his soul.  He needs to be shown his sinful state then be shown how Jesus is the Savior.

The faith that these four friends revealed is the power of love. When there seems no way on earth, there must be a way above. Nothing should disappoint believers because faith is something makes impossible possible.
