Sioux Falls Gratia Sunday Service "Was My Arm Too Short to Rescue You"

sola gratia

On Sunday, September 11 at 11:00 AM the sermon "Was My Arm Too Short to Rescue You" was given by Minister Christine Lee at Gratia Community Church in Sioux Falls, SD.  This message was taken from Isaiah 50:1-2, I Timothy 2:3-4, Romans 1:21-32 and I Cor 6:13-20.

God argued with His people through the lips of Isaiah that He does not abandon them, but they abandon Him. God entrusts man the free will because He loves them perfectly. A man should use their free will to love God instead of separating themselves from God.

Christine shared from Romans that even knowing there is a God, people go their own way.  Human beings are vessels that need to be filled with something. If not the Lord, it will be something else. Prayer is merely the act of seeking God and inviting Him to govern man's life.  The body is the temple of the Holy Spirit, and the Christian should be careful what he lets on it.  He should be careful lest he falls.  There is hope because God is not willing that any should perish.

After the service everyone present discussed the many ways this story should be applied to their Christian lives.  Emphasis was put on the importance and preciousness of freedom.

After reflection and sharing everyone had lunch and fellowship in the conference room.
