Sioux Falls Gratia Sunday Service "Where You Go I Will Go"

sola gratia

On Sunday August 28, 2016 at 11:00 AM the sermon "Where You Go I Will Go" was given by Pastor Christine Lee at Gratia Community Church in Sioux Falls, SD.  This message was taken from Ruth 1:6-18 and Matthew 1:5.

The story of Ruth is so incredible because this Gentile woman gets to be in the lineage of the Lord Jesus Christ.  Only a few Gentiles are even recognized in the Old Testament.  This book of the Bible tells why she was so honored, and it is a great lesson for all believers.  This story of faith, loyalty and most of all love should be applied to anyone who would come to the Lord.

Christine pointed out that Ruth and her other daughter-in-law were encouraged by Naomi to go back to their people and to their gods after all their husbands had died.  However, Ruth refused to leave Naomi because of her love, loyalty and faith in her and her God, the God of Israel.  She followed Naomi even though there was no evidence of hope.  Ruth didn't let circumstances dictate her decision, but went on believing in Naomi's God.

After the service everyone present discussed the many ways this story should be applied to them in their everyday lives.  God will reward the faithful with all their desires and provisions.

After reflection and sharing everyone had lunch and fellowship in the conference room.
