Sioux Falls Gratia Sunday Service "In Holy Fear Noah Built the Ark"

On Sunday July 3, 2016 at 11:00 AM the message "In Holy Fear Noah Built the Ark" was given by Minister Christine Lee at Gratia Community Church in Sioux Falls, SD.  This message was taken from Hebrews 11:7, Genesis 6:1-8, Luke 17:26-27 and Matthew 24:37-39.

In this passage the Bible talks about Noah and the Ark.  The questions abound about what the flood was all about.  Why did Noah build the Ark, why was only he and his family spared and what did Jesus mean when He said it would be like those days again here as we near the end?

Christine noted God used Noah so he could be a coworker in God's plan, and he didn't work alone and neither should the believer today.  The wood was hard and pitch sealed it inside and out.  One's heart should be sealed this way to prevent sin from coming in.  The 3 stories in the Ark represent body, soul and spirit.  Noah believed, obeyed and worked hard to save people, and so should the Christians today.

This was the first service held in the new Church facility.  Christine dedicated it by referring to Jacob's ladder in Genesis 28:10-17.  As with Jacob, this should now be considered the holy ground of God's house and everyone should reverence it with holy fear.

After reflection and sharing they held a Holy Communion service, and then everyone had some lunch and fellowship in the conference room.
