On Wednesday June 15, 2016 at 7:00 PM the message "Blessed are the Pure in Heart" was given by Minister Christine Lee at Gratia Community Church in Sioux Falls, SD.  The message was taken from Matthew 5:8 and Psalms 24:3-6.

This is number six of the Beatitudes.  It says the pure in heart shall "see God".  It says what the reward will be, and that is to see God.  The message this evening talked about how to become "pure in heart", and what it means.

Christine laid out the case from the Bible first confirming what this verse says, and then providing more detail about its meaning.  The Psalms passage verifies the blessing and then adds, "He shall receive...righteousness from the God of his salvation".  Also, in order to be pure of heart one must first wash their hands.  The pure must be redeemed from their sins, have no unclean jokes or immorality, accept the gift of His love, take on His light burden and desire the knowledge of God.  Then they will be able to see His face because of His love.

One relatively new member Patrick shared a strategy the Lord gave Him to embrace this victory in his Christian walk.  He split his actions into defensive and offensive.  The offensive tactic is more about serving God because of His love than just defensively what he isn't supposed to do.

Linda  shared a prayer request for not being able to sleep well, and being under some attack from the enemy at night.

Bruce shared his concern for a picture and story the local newspaper had showing two men having two boys wrap themselves in rainbow queer clothes to promote homosexuality.  This coincided with the theme of America and the church being under demonic attack and losing their purity.
